বিআরটিএ ম্যান্ডেট

The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) is progressively mandating real-time GPS tracking on all public transport vehicles. The mandate covers buses, minibuses, mini-trucks, tank-lorries and commercial passenger cars operating on inter-district routes.

Every fitted vehicle carries a printed GPS Tracker Compliance Certificate issued by a BTRC-licensed VTS provider. The certificate is affixed to the windshield and carries a QR code encoding a single URL of the form:

OPID is a three-letter operator ID assigned nationally by VTSPAB. CODE is the certificate code issued by the operator. Scanning the QR code resolves the certificate through VTSPAB's server-side proxy against the operator's verification endpoint - the address bar never leaves verify.vtspab.org.

Under the mandate, non-compliant vehicles may be fined or removed from service by roadside enforcement. Verification results are logged for BRTA reporting.
